If your mixer has only one mono, line-level XLR output, you can connect it to AirCast so listeners hear the same audio in both ears.
Option 1 — Connect to AirCast AUX IN
Mixer single XLR output → XLR female to 3.5 mm TRS cable → AirCast AUX IN
Recommended cable: Tisino XLR Female to 3.5 mm TRS Cable
- The cable must send the mono signal to both the left and right contacts of the 3.5 mm plug.
- Because this connection is unbalanced, use a short cable—preferably 1.5 m (5 ft) or less.
Option 2 — Connect to Both AirCast XLR Inputs
Mixer single XLR output → XLR female to dual XLR male splitter → AirCast XLR L and R inputs
Recommended cable: Tisino 1 XLR Female to 2 XLR Male Splitter Cable
This balanced connection is recommended for professional installations or longer cable runs.
Important
- Use a line-level output only. Do not connect a powered speaker output.
- Make sure the splitter direction is 1 XLR female input to 2 XLR male outputs.
- Start with the mixer output level low and set AirCast input gain to 0 dB, then increase the level gradually.
- This produces dual mono: the same audio is heard in the left and right channels. It does not create stereo.
Note: The cables above are third-party products and are not included with AirCast. Product availability may change.
