Yes. We are continuing to improve Auracast latency through firmware updates.
A new firmware update is scheduled for October 2026 and will add two listening options:
- Latency Priority – reduces audio latency to under 40 ms, recommended when you are close to the person speaking or to PA speakers.
- Range Priority – prioritizes longer and more stable wireless coverage when maximum range is more important.
For hearing aid users
If you currently notice an echo or slight delay between the sound in the room and the Auracast audio, try reducing the amount of environmental sound picked up by your hearing aid microphones, while keeping the Auracast audio at a comfortable level.
This reduces the overlap between the direct sound and the streamed sound and can make speech sound much clearer.
We recommend using Latency Priority once the new firmware becomes available if minimum delay is important to you.
