Which devices can use the QR code?
Phonak hearing aids
In myPhonak, open Auracast Assistant and scan the QR code; this is required to join.
Current models: Audéo R EON, Audéo Sphere EON, and CROS R EON when used with a compatible Audéo EON hearing aid.
Oticon hearing aids
Based on Oticon's published information, compatible hearing aids can use Oticon Companion to scan a QR code or select a nearby broadcast. This workflow has not been tested by Avantree.
Models listed by Oticon: Intent, Zeal, Reveal, Play SI, and Verit. Intent miniRITE requires firmware 1.3.0 or later.
Compatible Samsung Galaxy devices
Selected Galaxy phones and tablets with Auracast Assistant can scan an Auracast QR code or select a nearby broadcast. Examples include the Galaxy S23 and S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip5/6, Galaxy Z Fold5/6, and selected Galaxy Tab models.
Availability depends on the model, region, and One UI version. See the Bluetooth SIG Auracast product list for more models and their Auracast roles.

Install the Avantree Firmware Updater on your computer.

Connect the transmitter to the computer with the provided USB data cable. Open the updater and install the latest firmware if an update is available.
Open the QR code
Select Advanced in the Firmware Updater. The QR code will appear on screen.

Use the QR scanner supported by your phone or hearing-aid app, then follow its prompts to join the broadcast.
The QR code updates automatically
Important: Changing the broadcast name or password creates a new QR code. Use only the new code.
For venues
Display or print the QR code where visitors can scan it.
Private broadcast: the QR code may include the password; show it only to the intended audience.
After a name or password change: replace every printed or displayed copy with the new code.
